Well i can't seem to get the photos i've taken on my phone off of there, which is a shame, because i managed to get a knuckle full of photos that are kind of great. It's a lot of hype, so maybe in the future soon i'll be able to post thems. 

Went out for some more coffee this morning of course. As chris and i were standing on one of the corners there were a gaggle of people behind us sitting on the steps and doorway of a bar close by called 'RAD Bros'. They were speaking japanese of course and as we walked away chris said it was pretty clear they'd stayed out all night as one of the guys was like "i'm huuunnnggryyyy..." and a girl was saying to someone else, "i don't drink, dude". Hahaha. And obviously, she was drunk. It was 8am. This kind of solidifies that we're staying in the drinking part of town. Chris hasn't been drinking, gave it up a few months ago and has been doing well at that. We'll see how that goes. As for me, well, there's beer in the vending machines haha. In fact, there's one in front of me as i write this in the hotel lobby...

The festival is is right down the street. Technically it starts today, but theres already some sculpting going on. Pretty interesting to watch. I think in a little bit we're gonna go to a go saloon nearby and play a game or two and then i saw a cool store i will stop in. After that maybe food and walking. Last night there was a great deal of people out walking around. Supposedly the winter festival gets a large draw.

The snow is thick here in sapporo. As much as minneapolis during that blizzard! But it's not terribly cold. About 29ish F. The worst is the ice, when the snow starts melts and then freezes again. I'm going to get some snow teeth for my shoes.

It's not just chris and i for now, also there is matthew and his girlfriend lily. They are staying intermittently, leaving and coming back, visiting neighboring places, etc. Both are in the JET program with chris. We all went for ramen and walked about for a minute before heading back to the hotel and crashing. It was another long travel day. That's three in succession for me so i'm glad to finally be in a spot for a while!
